To commemorate World Tuberculosis Day, the Department of Pathology at Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad, organized a PG symposium and a quiz competition centered around the global theme, “Yes, we can end TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver.” Held at Lecture Theatre 3, the event aimed to raise awareness about the ongoing fight against tuberculosis while encouraging active participation from future healthcare professionals.
The event saw enthusiastic involvement from the MBBS 2023–24 batch and postgraduate students of Pathology and IHBT, alongside the valuable guidance of esteemed faculty members including Dr. Adreena Mittal, Dr. Swati Singh, Dr. Alka Dixit Vats, Dr. Richa Sharma, and Dr. Mansi Jain. The session was designed to promote community engagement, advocate for increased resource mobilization, and call for united action against TB.
Through the symposium and quiz, students explored the clinical, pathological, and epidemiological dimensions of tuberculosis, reinforcing their understanding of the disease and its management in alignment with WHO policies. The active participation and preparedness of the students highlighted their commitment to public health awareness and reflected the core message of the campaign — that with collective effort, we can end TB.
