Cleanliness is very important. It is important that our surroundings, the places that we live in, our workplaces and insides and outsides, in general, should be clean. Cleanliness is important for physical and mental health. Dirty environments not only destroy the mood, vibes and inspiration it is also the breeding places of germs, bacteria and microbes. So it is important to maintain our surroundings as clean as a whistle. Moreover, when it comes to commercial buildings and places of business, clean and properly maintained facades, building exteriors and interiors as well as landscaping will create a feeling of trust and authenticity with the customers as well as the employees. So whether a building has claddings or not, it is best to have it maintained and clean at all times.

What Are Claddings?

Well, of course, this question must be answered before going about why it is important to maintain them and keep them as Clean As A Whistle. Claddings are typically a material that could be made of many types of materials such as metal, wood, straw, bamboo and other mixed materials that are usually put over other materials such as walls of homes, industrial buildings and more. This is often done for various reasons. Claddings are installed often simply for the sake of beautification of buildings, other times they may be used to provide thermal insulation or control the noise going in and out of the buildings. Other than this, it may also be used as a weather control element, that can redirect rainwater, protect the walls from the wind as well as protect the walls from salty air and water in seaside buildings.

Why Should Claddings Get Regular Cleaning?

Claddings' health is important if it should serve its purpose. Clean claddings will require fewer repairs and much fewer replacements. Common dirt, various pollutants, mould, mildew, and algae can severely damage claddings in the long run. If this dirt and stains are not cleaned from claddings it will lead to issues with the claddings themselves. Such matter sitting on the claddings will eat away at the material slowly but surely. This will eventually lead to holes and minor damages in the claddings that make them almost useless or at least not as useful as they could be. Keeping claddings Clean As A Whistle may also be a requirement from their manufacturer to claim a warranty.

How Should CLaddings Be Cleaned?

Pressure washing was a very common method used for cleaning claddings and various other surfaces. This method means cleaning the claddings with the use of water with very high pressure. The pressure of the water itself is enough to remove any dirt, stains, mould, mildew, algae or fungus. But it is not a sustainable method as it has been shown to reduce the life of claddings too soon as well as being required to be cleaned more often. The better method is to soft wash the claddings. Soft washing, unlike pressure or power washing, is cleaning the claddings using softer pressure water with the addition of soaps and bleaches and sometimes surfactants. This is considered a highly efficient way to clean claddings as the dirt does not recur for a long time and claddings are protected from any damage during the cleaning process.
