While backlinks are an essential part of any SEO strategy, they should not be ignored. As time passes, backlinks can become irrelevant, toxic, or disappear. This means that you have to keep searching for new backlinks to keep your search ranking high. SEO is my passion. I love helping others improve their SEO. I have many creative ways to get backlinks. These are the seven that I recommend the most.
It is a great victory to find out who links up with your competitors. You can be sure that your competitor's backlinks will be on websites relevant to your niche. Although this could be a tedious manual task, there are many tools available (both free and paid) to help you analyze the backlink profiles of your competitors. Online Backlink Checker is my example. However, the process for any software would be very similar.
Open the tool and enter the competitor's URL. Click Check backlinks. The tool will analyze the domain and create a backlink profile. This includes the number of backlinks, do-follow backlinks, and historical data. This is how it might look.
Use the Broken Link Building Strategy
Broken link building refers to the process of finding backlinks to 404 pages on other websites, contacting them, and proposing that they replace the 404 links with one that leads to your site. This is a great way to get backlinks and also add value to the website that provided the link for you.
Locate broken backlinks from your competitors
This type of analysis can be done with a backlink analysis tool, such as SEO SpyGlass. To filter backlinks that return a 404 error, you can filter the results.
Recover Lost Backlinks
It's worth taking the time to find out which links are missing or broken. You can update the backlink page information for your website by going to SEO SpyGlass> Backlink Profile.
You will need to contact the site owners to restore a lost backlink. Depending on the nature of the problem, they may offer to help you by placing your link on a different page if it has been removed or by restoring the backlink if it has been removed.
Create Links using Images
The images are attractive and people can click on them. It is worth creating images (infographics and charts, product photos or comics) and promoting them for more backlinks.
If you are using images for backlinks, make sure the link points to the page where the image is located and not to the image directory. Image directory links (ending in .gif, .png, .jpg, etc.) are a dead end. All traffic to them is wasted. Set filters in your SEO tool so you can see if your backlinks are pointing to image directories.
Your credibility will increase and you will be able to introduce your brand to a new audience. However, if you include a link to your website in the content, it can also be a great SEO strategy. This article will explain how to post as a guest for SEO.
